About
Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Robert Bennett joined Internal Medicine Associates of Fresno in 1993 as a cardiologist. He is also with the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Birnbaum attended the University of Ottawa School of Medicine in Ottawa, Ontario before earning his master’s degree at the University of Toronto. He completed his surgical internship and clinical research fellowship in the cardiovascular surgical division at the Toronto General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. He did his cardiovascular and thoracic surgical residency at the University of Toronto in Canada. Before practicing in the Central Valley, Dr. Birnbaum completed cardiovascular fellowships at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario and at Broussais Hospital in Paris, France.
