Maria Esther Abeysekera, MD

Maria Abeysekera, MD, a board-certified Primary Care Physician specializing in Family Medicine.

Dr. Abeysekera received her medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo and David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She then moved to Fresno to complete her Family Medicine Residency through Saint Agnes Graduate Medical Education.

Dr. Abeysekera’s mission as a physician is to make a positive difference in the lives of her patients by removing barriers to care and promoting lifelong wellness. She focuses on preventive medicine, patient empowerment and weight loss support. She strives to deliver compassionate, high-quality care tailored to each patient's needs.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Abeysekera enjoys spending time with family, traveling and trying new food in her free time.
