Ariel Cung Shuchleib, MD

Ariel Shuchleib, MD, is a bariatric surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery techniques at Saint Agnes Care Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery.

Prior to joining Saint Agnes Care, Dr. Shuchleib performed bariatric surgery with a private practice group.

He received his medical degree and Master of Science degree from Anahuac University in Mexico City, Mexico, and completed his residency at the New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College. He went on to complete a fellowship in bariatric surgery and advanced minimally invasive surgery with the University of California San Francisco – Fresno.

Dr. Shuchleib is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO).

He is also a well-published academic scholar, having authored numerous book chapters, scientific papers and presentations both nationally and internationally.
